Jamie Platt - Lighting Designer for the play 'Swansea Boy'

Jamie is a theatre lighting designer based in London and has designed lighting for plays, musicals, operas, and dance at venues across the UK and around the world. He trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, is a professional member of the Association for Lighting Production and Design and has twice been elected to sit on the Equity Directors & Designers committee.

He has been nominated for five Off-West End Awards, a Knight of Illumination Award, and a Broadway World Award, and in 2013 won the ALD’s ETC Award and RWCMD’s Carne Award.

Notable productions include: The Last Five Years (West End & International Tour); Jellyfish (National Theatre); Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (Goodman Theatre, Chicago); RIDE (Old Globe, San Diego) and Something Rotten! & Pippin (Theatre Royal Drury Lane).
